What’s Happening in RE Class Sunday, May 20

Pre-K: The Celebrating Me and My World class this week is “People Teach Me.” The children will hear Leo Lionni’s story The Biggest House in the World, and practice some very basic first aid.

K & 1st Grade: The Spirit Play next two classes will have stories were drawn from our source of “spiritual teachings of earth-centered traditions which celebrate the sacred circle of life and instruct us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature.”  This week’s story is “Granddad’s Prayers to the Earth.”

 2nd & 3rd Grade: The Love Will Guide Us class continues the lesson “Love is the Golden Rule.” This week the students will hear a story about the Golden Rule, and do a Unitarian Universalist Sources scramble.

4th & 5th Grade: The Love Connects Us class continues the lesson “Science and Religion.” The students will do some wondering meditation and go on a yarn treasure hunt.

Middle School: The Heeding the Call class returns to the “Call to Responsible Leadership” workshop. The students will learn to juggle their strengths, and hear how it is up to us.

 Teen Group: The Teens meet at 9:30 am and will discuss plans for the Bridging Service in June.
