Under normal circumstances, all classes begin after the "Time for All Ages" concludes in the sanctuary.

Nursery

Our nursery is open each Sunday from 9 AM to noon. It provides a safe, child-friendly, supervised environment while parents are involved in other church activities. During the worship service, children age three and under are welcome in the nursery. Staffed by an experienced adult member and a teen nursery assistant, the facility provides toys, books, games, simple crafts and age-appropriate activities. Please review the Nursery guidelines for further information.

Pre-K

Celebrating Me and My World
This Unitarian Universalist curriculum is for pre-schoolers. It begins by celebrating the wondorous qualities of the children themselves and expands outwards to the things and people around them.  This program provides pre-schoolers with experiences and oppurtunites to grow in their sense of trust and caring and to develop their self-identity and their sense of connectedness with all life.

Kindergarten/First Grade

Spirit Play
This popular Montessori-based curriculum is back and focusing on our sources this year. There are lessons about the universe, world religions, and people important in UU history. After a “story,” the kids do their “work,” and then enjoy a “feast.”

Second and Third Grades

Love Will Guide Us
In this program, participants learn to seek guidance in life through the lens of our Unitarian Universalist Sources, with an emphasis on love. Together we ask: questions such as, "Where did we come from?" "What is our relationship to the Earth and other creatures?" "How can we respond with love, even in bad situations?" "What happens when you die?" Sessions apply wisdom from our Sources to help participants answer these questions. Participants will learn that asking questions is valued in Unitarian Universalism, even as they begin to shape their own answers.

Fourth and Fifth Grades

Love Connects Us

Love Connects Us celebrates important ways Unitarian Universalists live our faith in covenanted community. Moved by love and gathered in spirit, we embrace our responsibility toward one another and the world at large. We encourage one another's search for truth and meaning. We strive to be active in peace-making and other efforts to improve our world.

The sessions explore our legacy, from both Universalism and Unitarianism, of living our connections in loving service, inquiry, and action for social justice. At the same time, the program builds active participants in our faith. Children learn how our actions create a new heritage of connecting in love which will shape the faith of future generations.

Our Whole Lives

In January and February the regular year long curriculum will pause so we can offer the Our Whole Lives course.  This age appropriate class about human sexuality embodies the values inherent in our Unitarian Universalist heritage.  Parents will meet in November to review the class materials and approve their children's participation.

Middle School (Grades Six through Eight)

Heeding the Call
As Unitarian Universalists, we are called not to admire justice from a distance but to live right in it, under its roof. This series of workshops offers a unique opportunity to engage youth in the critical work of developing skills as Unitarian Universalists committed to social justice. The workshops encourage youth to reflect on their own lives while also making connections to the lives lived by others. This both/and approach increases youth's self-awareness while also developing leadership skills. The stories offer real-life examples of people facing the complexities of living lives of justice. It is under this roof that the youth become Justice Makers. Justice does not come into being automatically. Individuals must work together, learn together, listen together, laugh together, and heed the call together.

Teen Group (Grades Nine through Twelve)

The teens will decide their curriculum. In prior years our adolescents have used student-lead discussions as the backbone of their meetings. Their meeting time will also be devoted to planning social justice projects Location: Teen Tower Room (upstairs from the foyer)
