The Building & Grounds committee oversees the general maintenance and upkeep of our beautiful and gracefully-aging church. Our building has many positive attributes, such as general structural soundness, good acoustics (in the sanctuary), and respectable appearance. However, there are also a number of issues that need attention on a regular and constant basis. We sponsor a work party on the second Saturday of the month to help address these issues.
We ask our members and friends to join us for these work parties to help keep our church looking and functioning properly. Our next work party is June 11th from 9 am to noon. Here are some possible projects we hope to accomplish:
- Clean grounds.
- Touch-up paint in sanctuary.
- Paint wall in social hall above book store.
- Check roof scuppers.
- Trim bushes.
- Build shelves in Yarmouth tower.
- Repair upstairs window sills.
