CONGRATULATIONS TO US!
(UCN President Allen Perry [Left] shakes hands with our lawyer, David Johnson, of Virginia Beach Law Group, after closing.)
I am delighted to announce that the closing
went through today as expected.
Together, WE are now the proud owners of
809 South Military Highway!
Join us for cake in the Social Hall at UCN after the service this Sunday, April 2, 2017, to celebrate this milestone.
At this point, we anticipate the renovations of the new building will take about a year before we can move in.
There will be lots of opportunities to help during this period, but here are two for the present:
1) Contribute to the Challenge Campaign: the matching Challenge Fund has 5 weeks to go, and $49,315 remaining to match. The monies raised during the Challenge will assist with the renovations and help secure the best financing for our construction loan, which will ultimately become our mortgage. We would love your help completing the Challenge!
2) Attend the Clean-Up Event on April 15, 9am-1pm: Our first event at the new property will be a mini-celebration as we begin our stewardship of our future home. Bring the whole family to help as we start cleaning up the property, both on land and via canoe! Do as much as or little as you can, and enjoy our first opportunity to be together at the new location. [The link to the Facebook event can be found here.]
Check out the Friday emails and the announcements in your Sunday Order of Service for more details about both of these opportunities.
Thank you for all your hard work, contributions, and support during this process, and again — Congratulations!
